Sea Turtle, Inc. South Padre Island.
I was deeply disturbed by the article recently published by Valley Central Channel 4 News on the sea turtles no longer being protected by the new changes made to the Endangered Species Act. This means that all the Green and Loggerhead turtles will no longer have protection and will rely on only rescues to assist in their recoveries from harm and from being an endangered species. This has inspired me to do more, and though it is a very microscopic gesture, I am a firm believer in that "every little bit counts".
As of today, all profits made from every purchase of my piece for guitar ensemble "La Isla" (based on South Padre Island) will be donated to the SPI rescue - Sea Turtle, Inc. - a publicly funded non-profit that plays a large part in the rehabilitation of injured sea turtles and conservation efforts for all marine turtles. A receipt of the donation will be attached to the purchase order sales slip that is included with the sheet music. Please contact me via the Contact page for more information/details.
