Last month, I had the honor of judging the AustinISD UIL Guitar Ensemble Competitions for Austin Classical Guitar again. This was my 4th year of being able to be a part of the judging panel and I'm always so grateful. This year there were over 40 amazing groups comprised of hundreds of students who performed for the annual concert and sight-reading event. It's always a joy to see so many students from all over the Austin school district, Odessa, and San Marcos and all their hard work! This year during the concert portion, I was even able to see one high school group perform my piece "La Isla" for a Non-Varsity category. I was also able to compose a piece, "Cairns", for the Level 5 sight-reading portion and ACG Guitar Curriculum. Many special thanks to Austin Classical Guitar!
