Victoria Thomasch's 4th Annual Recital for Refugees

Victoria Thomasch is an amazing and talented mezzo-soprano Opera singer from New York City. I am beyond excited to announce that I am one of two composers chosen and commissioned to work with her for her 4th Annual Recital for Refugees this fall, which annually raises thousands of dollars for the International Rescue Committee. This year, due to COVID-19, her concert will be live streamed this October - so stay tuned!

Not only am I thrilled that this is for such a good cause, but because it’s so great to know that I am among good company! Victoria, but also her other chosen Composer, Anthony R. Green, who is a highly accomplished composer and pianist whose works have been featured in over twenty countries and who also constantly advocates for social justice and equality. Anthony is also co-founder of "Castle of Our Skins", “a concert and educational series dedicated to celebrating Black artistry through music”.

So excited to be working with and alongside some amazing people for an important cause! For more on Victoria, Anthony, Castle of Our Skins, the International Rescue Committee, and all of each of their inspiring accomplishments, be sure to visit their websites below!
